Shut Off Systems for Hazardous Gases Such as Ethylene (C2H4)
About Ethylene (C2H4)
Ethylene is a plant hormone that differs from other plant hormones in being a gas. It is a simple asphyxiant and is very flammable.
Ethylene is used in the ripening of plants and produce in order to speed them to market. It is shipped in pressurized containers and tank cars.
Prevent Accidental Release of Ethylene (C2H4)
Powell's Emergency Gas Shut Off Valve Closure Systems are designed to prevent significant releases of hazardous gases like ethylene. In the case of an accidental release, the emergency valve closure system will close the valves in 10 seconds or less, effectively preventing further release from the container.
