Shut Off Systems for Hazardous Gases Such as Dimethylamine (C2H7N)
About Dimethylamine
Dimethylamine is a colorless, flammable gas with a strong ammonia/fish-like odor. It is used as a solvent and in making rubber, textiles, drugs, and other chemicals.
Dimethylamine can cause skin irritation and burns, irritation of the nose and throat, fluid build up in the lungs, and can severly irritate and burn the eyes with possibility of permanent damage (blindness). Repetitive exposure to Dimethylamine can cause damage to the liver.
Prevent Accidental Release of Dimethylamine
Powell's Emergency Gas Shut Off Valve Closure Systems are designed to prevent significant releases of hazardous gases like Dimethylamine. In the case of an accidental release, the emergency valve closure system will close the valves in 10 seconds or less, effectively preventing further release from the container.
